Cream Cheese and Strawberry French Toast

Today is Valentine's day.

I could care less about this day, birthdays, anniversaries and anything just like that.

Love is shit and it does not exist.

I am really trying hard to think about other hateful stuff to say but okay I will stop here.

Time for another french toast recipe. I hope its the last because I really dislike desserts but somethings have to be made for the sake of making them.

Cream Cheese and Strawberry French Toast was suggested by the loveliest person ever and I decided to see if I could make it or not.

I just made one sandwich so the ingredients are accordingly.

Ingredients:

10 sliced strawberries and more if you want to decorate it

2 slices of sandwich bread

Cream cheese

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence

Splash of milk

Granulated sugar for garnishing

1 tablespoon butter

If you want to cut the sides of the bread slices its up to you but this time I did not as the strawberry filling was too much for it I guess.

Put cream cheese on slices.

Add the sliced strawberries to it.

Now break the eggs in a or deep bottom plate, add vanilla essence and a splash of milk.

Whisk it.

Melt butter in a non stick pan on low heat.

Fry the sandwich 2-3 minutes on both sides.

Take it out and slice it in half.

I added some chocolate dipped strawberries to the side and sprinkled some caster sugar on the whole sandwich.

You can just place sliced strawberries or have it with maple syrup, Hershey's chocolate or caramel.

Ladies and gentlemen on this day of non existent love present your loved ones with Cream Cheese and Strawberry French Toast.

Dynamite Shrimps

I love shrimps from as long as I can remember which makes it the only thing I love the most after family.

Months ago ER QUEEN from twitter told me to make PF Chang style Dynamite Shrimps and share the recipe but I had never taste it so I was a bit hesitant.

In my short visit to US I never had the chance to visit PF Chang so I decided to attempt this myself.

True to it's name. Dynamite Shrimps is a burst of different flavors and is definitely a must have or make.

Ingredients For Fried Shrimps:

500 grams large shrimps peeled and devained

1/2 cup all purpose flour

2 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon red pepper

4 tablespoon bread crumbs

Ingredients For Sauce:

7 tablespoons mayonnaise

5 tablespoons ketchup

3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

4 tablespoons sriracha sauce (if not available then any other hot sauce)

4 tablespoons soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper

First of all I needed to get rid of that shrimp tail so I did that.

Now we mix the all purpose flour with salt, black pepper, red pepper and bread crumbs.

Next we break the two eggs and whisk them and prepare the breading station by placing the egg batter and flour mixture side by side.

Dip the shrimp in the egg batter and then coat it with the flour. Repeat this process once more to complete the shrimp coating.

Now we move towards frying it.

So we will warm up some oil in a non stick pan on medium low heat.

Fry the shrimps in it till golden brown from both sides around 3-4  minutes.

Take the shrimps out separately.

They look so nice and chunky or they don't?

Now we prepare the sauce.

In a bowl add mayonnaise, salt, black pepper, red pepper, ketchup, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce and sriracha sauce. Whisk it till everything in the bowl is properly mixed.

This is your dynamite sauce.

Now you just take out a nice cocktail glass.

Dip the shrimp in the dynamite sauce and add it to the glass.

Top it off with finely chopped green onions and Dynamite Shrimp is ready to serve.

Ladies and gentlemen, I can't say something new every time but prepare your eyes for Dynamite Shrimps.

Revuelto de Gramajo (Argentinian Hangover Omelette)

Was experiencing the worst chef block lately but I have been making food more than usual. I mean from one recipe a week to 2-3 recipes a week which I think drains me out from all of the ideas.

So finally this week I have some more ideas and also more for the next week but so far all is good.

I have been asked about breakfast recipes a lot and sometime ago I saw this recipe which was HARAM because it had bacon in it but surely we can switch bacon to many substitutes.

This recipe is called Revuelto de Gramajo which I don't even know how to pronounce so I will call it Argentinian Hangover Omelette. I have switched bacon chicken sausages because we are Muslims (yeah, right) and we eat Halal.

This is the best breakfast meal for the whole family if you are looking for something different than the usual.

Ingredients:

1 big potato thinly sliced

4-6 chicken sausages sliced

hand full of finely chopped parsley

3-4 eggs

200 grams of cheese

salt and pepper to taste

First of all we heat up oil for frying the thinly sliced chips on medium heat.

Fry the chips until golden crisp.

Take them out separately.

Now we fry the sliced sausages.

Add the cheese and stir until the cheese melts.

Add the potatoes to it and mix it well.

Now we whisk the eggs and add salt and pepper to it.

Add the egg batter to the pan and with the help of your spatula you can coat the whole pan evenly.

As you see the base of the omelette being cooked you can turn the heat on low and cover the pan for 1-2 minutes.

The omelette is cooked now.

Take it out on a big plate and sprinkle some chopped parsley on it.

Ladies and gentlemen, get ready to experience one of the best breakfasts of your life. Revuelto de Gramajo (Argentinian Hangover Omelette)

Spaghetti Aglio Olio

This Italian recipe is called Spaghetti Aglio Olio and I saw it from the movie Chef which inspired me to take my cooking to the blog.

I love to make it in the winters as fresh parsley is available in winters only and its also expensive around 200 rupees a bunch.

In the movie Jon Favreau cooks this spaghetti specially for Scarlett Johansson and I just want to tell Scarlett Johansson (if she ever gets to read this) that I will cook this for her for the rest of my life.

Ingredients:

500 grams spaghetti

8-10 garlic cloves finely chopped

3 tablespoons of onions finely chopped

1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

5 tablespoons of lemon juice

2/3 cup of olive oil

1 cup chopped parsley (or more to taste)

salt and black pepper to taste

NOTE - This whole recipe will be cooked on medium low heat as it involves olive oil which should not be heated high.

Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the packet.

Add olive oil to a non stick pan over medium heat. I also added 2 tablespoon butter to enhance the flavor but that is totally optional.

Add finely chopped garlic to it and let it cook for 2 minutes.

Now add chopped onions and red chili flakes.

The garlic will get brown till this point so you can add 1/3 cup water so that it doesn't burn.

Add salt to it and cook for two more minutes.

Add black pepper and lemon juice. Cook for 2-3 more minutes.

Keep the flame on medium low and don't let anything burn.

Now add the spaghetti and chopped parsley to it and mix.

Spaghetti Aglio Olio is ready to serve.

Drizzle some more olive oil on it if you want, top it with more chili flakes, parsley, salt or pepper as per your taste.

Dear vegans, please stand up for Spaghetti Aglio Olio.
